SavvyKite is a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) application designed with your privacy as our top priority. Our architecture ensures that we, the developers of SavvyKite, never have access to your sensitive data, API keys, or personal conversations. Your information is yours alone.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your personal data or browsing history. The SavvyKite extension is designed to be stateless from our perspective. Here’s what that means in practice:

  • Selective Processing: The extension only processes the specific text you manually highlight and right-click on within your browser. It does not scan pages or monitor your activity.
  • Local Context: Any custom instructions, such as your "My Bio" or "Product Info," are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

2. Data We Do Not Store

SavvyKite acts as a private interface between you and various services. We do not see or save the data you send.

  • AI Processing (Google Gemini): When you generate a message, the selected text is sent directly from your browser to Google's API endpoint using your own API key. We do not log, view, or store these requests. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy to understand how they handle data.
  • CRM / Webhooks (n8n): If you utilize the "Save Lead to CRM" feature, the data you've selected is transmitted directly from your browser to the Webhook URL you provide. We do not see, store, or process this data; it is sent only to the endpoint you have configured.

3. Local Storage

All sensitive information is stored on your own computer using the browser's built-in secure storage:

  • API Keys & Settings: Your Google Gemini API key, Gumroad License key, and custom context settings are stored in chrome.storage.local. This data is sandboxed, meaning it never leaves your browser except when sent directly and securely to the respective services (Google for AI processing, Gumroad for license validation).

4. Payments & Licensing

We use Gumroad to securely handle all payment and license validation services.

  • No Payment Details Stored: We do not process, store, or have access to your credit card information.
  • Email for Licensing: To verify your license, the extension communicates with Gumroad's API. Gumroad uses the email address from your purchase to validate your license status. We do not store this email on our servers.
